Riveting, fascinating, inspiring are a few epithets that describe Pandeymonium. Covering the best moments and life stories of the Advertising Legend Piyush Pandey, this book takes you on a captivating journey woven with inspiring anecdotes that leave you with profound thoughts.

Named as one of the most influential Men in Indian Advertising by Economic Times Piyush Pandey as the Chairman and Creative Director at Ogilvy and Mather covers some of the best assignments and advertising campaigns with the leading brands.

Written in simple language and forwarded by Amitabh Bachan with whom he had the privilege to work with on the most important assignments.

This advertising legend does not talk about any advertising strategy etc. He talks about everything and anything that fueled his passion.

" Whatever you say, say it with respect for the audience, say it in a context that the audience can understand, say it spontaneously, say it without fear, say it not to intimidate or frighten, but to delight. "

The preface consists of this important lesson of advertising or effective communication in general which reveals the true essence of this book to delight the audience, the readers.

The book is divided into 5 parts. In the first part, He talks about his formative years in Jaipur where he grew up. Referring his household a creative factory he was born in. He talks about his father's creative talent to recite poetries all the time which he considers as the first inspiration in his creative journey. He shares his love for cricket and compares the game with real-life. His respect for artists the carpenters, the cobblers and other creatives.

In the second part, He then highlights his inquisitiveness as a child by engaging in conversations with the artists and the respect he has for their talents. He reveals few facts about advertising wherein he shares few professional anecdotes at Ogilvy and Mather, assignments with leading brands etc. He beautifully shares his professional journey which is full of inspiring stories.

The third part, he emphasizes on the 'Complexity found in simplicity' which seems reflective. Wherein speaks about his belief, the challenges, facing adversities, his opinions and dealing with failure and always standing with the right no matter what.

The Fourth and the Fifth part he shares few professional changes at Ogilvy and Mather, he well describes the BJP Campaign and a lot of professional learning insights and the advertising business. At the end the afterword he beautifully narrates why he is not starting his own agency.

I really enjoyed reading Pandeymonium because the author is not talking about any advertising strategy with hard jargons or with various terms and definitions, He is simply talking about anything and everything, his life, his reflections in the most creative way. Reading this book will give you a different creative perspective which Piyush Pandey narrates in anecdotes which are beautifully written. These are simple stories we all can relate to, however, he adds a touch of creativity and his detailed observation. You get to understand where these creative ideas come from, what drives Piyush Pandey and leaves you with many thoughts. You understand the stories behind the best advertisements we all enjoyed be it Cadbury to the Pug and zozos in the Vodafone ads. I recommend this book to all of you and enjoy all these anecdotes and his love for his job, his passion and motivation will certainly inspire you and love your job more, a quick read and absolutely engaging, undoubtedly creativity at its best.
