Which the most important skill you need to master ?

Do you think you work hard but aren't effective? Do you not complete the task before deadlines? Do you think you have too much to do and very less time? There is a way to organize your schedule and use your time effectively. The one skill that will help you sail through, a skill that is known by many but mastered by few. It is the Time Management skill.

We live in a world which is changing every day. Be it a student, a professional, no matter what profession you belong to. I would not say always because it depends on how dedicated a person is to his/her job or studies but we all have a phase when we just have too much on our plate. For  Working professionals it would be the month ending, for students it would be before the semester the submissions and to cope up with studies. And we all go insane and spend a lot of time thinking how can we complete everything that too before deadlines.

We are skilled as students, professionals with a skill set but we often ignore the most important skill to manage our time. Of course, when we have too much to do. We primarily must set our priorities and these priorities change every day depending on the deadlines for various tasks.

But if you really want to have it all and be effective. It is imperative to manage your time. Time management is a very important skill one needs to master. If we learn to manage our time better we will have more time left to do another useful thing.

We all need to understand that our priorities need to change every day depending on the urgency and importance. Sometimes work could be a priority sometimes family it basically should change every day. Once set our priorities it is easier to plan.

Planning is essential. The first thing we all must try to practice after getting up is to plan our day. We can also choose to plan our next day before sleeping at night in case we are in a hurry in morning.
The third thing we all must understand is to introspect. It is very important to introspect and find out things or the kind of work we enjoy doing. It is essential to know about the task you enjoy the most. It is also important to understand when you are most productive and accordingly one must schedule the task at that time. For example if you are fresh and lively in the morning if you are a student you may choose to study the difficult subjects in the morning and if you are professional you may choose reading or be solving any complicated task or perhaps some research which can enable you to relax mentally and get rid of stress because you can complete your other tasks peacefully because you have already worked on something complicated in the morning.

The Fourth one is to understand your own routine. In order to use your time effectively. Now that you have set your priorities, maintained a planner and planned your schedule. It is important to understand how can you now add the things you love doing. Perhaps your hobbies. It is the time when you add these to your plans. For example: as a student physics is a tough subject you can revise physics in the evening because you have already studied in the morning. After studying such a complicated subject you can probably take a nap or play a video game or go for a workout, etc. It could be a reward and motivate and before you start with another task. You could calm yourself and rejuvenate.

The fifth thing we all need to understand is when we prioritize when we plan our schedules. It is important to first form long-term and short-term goals. It is very important to set goals every day which you can achieve understanding your routine. You cannot put a difficult task at the end of the day. When you are drained out. It is important to introspect. It is important to set a realistic goal and yes we can have it all. We can study 5 difficult subjects in a day and also play and also work on our projects and use our time effectively when we start being organized and well planned.

Stephen Covey in his book The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People writes " The key is not spending time, but investing in it. "
In order to be effective the most important skill, we need to master is to manage our time and to be productive.
