Come, Lets only think BIG now !
How often are you told that your dreams would not work out? How often the " negative voices of judgment " from your peers, family, acquaintances suppressed your internal voice? We all have dreams, in our school days we all wanted to be doctors, engineers, scientists, architecture. We have seen these professions in our School G.K books.
As kids, we all have dreams, BIG dreams. Most of us imagined transporting ourselves into a Chocolate World full of chocolates or full of our favorite superheroes. Some of us even imagined being a Prince or Princes or a fairy. However, as we grow we fear to dream big. Everything seems difficult which inevitably is.
However, as we grow we understand and are intimidated by the word success. We doubt our abilities, we are afraid of taking decisions, we are afraid of taking risks and we often end up setting small goals and never think BIG because we feel it is not practical and not possible.
Thinking BIG is something ingrained in my psyche. While I am typing this I reminisce my school days when I was the Class Representative, as I didn't have access to YouTube to watch any interviews at that time. I would try to find quotations by Great Leaders and these quotations not only helped me to feel good about myself but also helped me to develop a mindset and to be optimistic. I was just a class representative but I would always try to understand these quotations by observing and understanding the role of each person in the school. I would observe and think about how my principal could have a command and how she leads the school and how others responded and followed. My reading, observing helped me to put myself on her position at times and think.
I would think of different roles and sometimes when things were out of control I would try to understand how do I ensure discipline in school. I was naive, I had just begun to walk on this path. I was sincere and took my role as a monitor seriously. I vividly remember when I was sworn in as the Speaker of the Students Council before the election I watched Rajya Sabha TV. I would try to understand the role of Speaker in the Parliament. All though I didn't completely understand the role of Speaker at that point. I still had some idea.
I now understand I was way too serious and I think because I had developed this habit of thinking big and had bigger goals. Since then I have been always dreaming high without any limitations. Dreaming big is often associated with being a billionaire or a millionaire. I have never thought about that. I am inquisitive and open to endless possibilities. I always dream of being knowledgeable and standing up for something I believe in no matter what. As I am an undergraduate student very much in the phase of self-discovery. I think I am working on being significant. Whatever career I chose eventually I aspire to be significant in that particular field.
In my experience, thinking BIG or setting bigger goals for myself has helped me to be optimistic always. Understand nothing is impossible and challenge conventional wisdom by trying to make wise choices. It has helped me to widen my perspective and constantly upgrade myself. Whenever I set a big goal it stirs my passion and enthusiasm.
In my opinion, we must never underestimate our thoughts and capabilities and remember that anything that was ever discovered or created started with a thought.I always feel and I 'll always mention that we all are worthy of everything we desire. Thinking big cannot happen all of a sudden, it is a mindset that one must choose to cultivate on a regular basis and gradually it becomes our attitude over a lifetime.
Lastly, let us remember the words of William Danforth and stay committed to a self-designed healthy and exciting life.
" I dare you to think bigger, to act bigger, and to be bigger, and I promise you a richer and more exciting life if you do. "
Thank-you

Great work Rahul. It's really inspiring. We shouldn't look upon things as they are, but as they can be done! Thinking bigger adds value to our dreams. It may be just a piece of hope but also 1st step towards victory.
